Humans Plan, God Determines

It's true that we humans plan and God determines everything. So we humans just have to learn to accept the decisions made by God.

The decision that recently shown to my whole family was the loss of my grandma. She passed away on Tuesday at 9:55pm. She was in the hospital from Sunday due to Stroke. It was such a sad situation. I couldn't stop crying when grandma was brought back home at Woodlands. I was told by my aunt that I should not cry as it will cause the spirit of my grandma to be restless - she would not have a safe journey to the Other side. So, had to hold back my tears.

Everything was done smoothly. All we are hoping is that my grandma soul is at ease and hope that she's happy where ever she is now.

Heritage Tour

I went to a Heritage Tour at People's Association (PA). It was paid by my teacher. I was not looking forward to it. However, I had to go since I am rotting at home - written in a few of my previous entries.

The whole of BL Committee Members were asked to go by Mrs Loh. But Leon, Siti, Ijah and Gina were absent. As we all gathered at PA, we were given a Goodie Bag and a Snack Bag.

In the Goodie Bag contain the following:
- Small Mineral Water
- A note book
- A Pen
- Some brochures ( I didn't bother to look at them)

In the Snack Bag:
- An Apple
- A pack of some sort of Chocolate cake and a Pastry puff

The first Destination was the Sultan Mosque. The first thing that was shown to us was a Banyan Tree. Right. A tree at the road side. What a great way to start a tour!!! We were told that the Banyan Tree has roots that might grow as big as the trunk on fertile soil. WOW! We didn't need to know that. The next thing that was introduced was the Butterfly Tree or the Hong Kong National flower tree. I find it kind of interesting about the leaves though. It looked like butterfly wings! It's really nice to notice such tree. After that, went to Tepak Sireh. It is one hell of an expensive place to dine in! My brother told me that. So, I don't bother about eating there. But the place is nice and grand. I thought that we were given the chance to see the interior. But no, we were not allowed as they were holding an event. It was a chance that was wasted. Hai! I've heard that the interior on the 2nd level was amazing! Damn! I missed that! Then, we went to tour outside of the Malay Heritage Centre. I went there before. It was so-so. At the point of time, the tour guide asked us to guess the fruit trees found. I kept guessing HAhaha!! Untill the tour guide labelled me as a Rambutan Tree!!Rambutan Lover! When actually I hate to eat Rambutan! Why? It's too hairy!!! Haha!! Then we went to an antique shop. In there, I was AMAZED by ALL the items displayed! I Love VINTAGE items!!! YES!! Vintage is the right word to use! I love the Jukebox, Fridge, White Scooter, the TELEPHONES!!! The Glass bottled drinks!! And ANGKLUNGS!! HAhaha!!!! After that, then we went into the mosque.

After that, we went to Chinatown to see the Indian Temple. Yes, I know, where on earth can you associate an Indian Temple situated in the middle of Chinatown? Weird? Hahaha!! Tell me about it! Been in the temple, but not as happening as the next destination. I got to ring the bell when entering and exiting the temple. Cool!

After that, we went to the Chinese Museum. It was THE MOST FUN I had in there! I got to see how life was back then. How the Chinese lived in very space constrain area. A lot of items showcased fascinated me. When I saw the rooms, it was very cramped but very homely. I just don't know why, when I saw the rooms, I somehow felt that I was brought back in time, where life were much harder and simplicity was the in thing. The items that were displayed were just precious! I went to the Kitchen - it was being shared by all the occupants there. BOY!! Now, I am proud to say that my kitchen is neater! The kitchen then was so dirty. hahahaha!!! After that, went to tailor shop. There were several pedal sewing machines!! I told myself that I could donate one to them! hahaha!! I still have one pedal sewing machine at home! hahaha!!!

Then we went to Victoria Theatre for the final destination. I saw some Macpherson kids there! Vincent was there!! hahaha!!! Patrick Teo was also there busy taking pictures of blurred image!! hahaha!!! The tour was overall OK. I had Fun! But the weather was terrible! I was soaking wet full of sweat!! I wished that I brought an extra top!! Damn!!!! Then, had dinner at BK!! And then went home! hahah!! Tiring!!!!!!!!!!

Singapore Idol.

Singapore Idol yesterday was fine. I was shocked that Jonathan was in the bottom 3! Mathilda got more votes than Jonathan! Gawd! I knew that Norman was going to be eliminated. Not because I don't like him. NO. I like him! He looks like En Lai! Don't you think? Hahaha!!! The reason he was OUT was because of one reason. Wrong Song Selection. Yeah. Last time, he sang Jamie Cullum's These Are The Days. Norman could not reach the pitch. He just can't sing that kind of song. His voice doesn't fit. If you get what I mean. But I am no expert. hahahha!!

These few days, my brain has been failing me. I run out of ideas of what to write. I am literally rotting at home. Seriously. This time round, the holidays are just so draggy!!!! The time pass so SLOWLY!!! I can't stand it anymore!! I need to go for a holiday!!!!

For today, there'll be no quote of the day. Sorry!!! hahahaha

Thirst Quencher Please!!!!

Is it me or is it the weather. I am feelin rather HOT and Sweaty all day. The weather is a Killer today!! I'm feelin yucky all over my body. Ugh!

I went to Tampines Mall for a little performance by Macpherson Angklung. It's about the SYF thingy. It's fun though!! One thing that I Luurrvvee abt the place was the fan. Yes. Our holding spot was right next to a gigantic fan!! You know, the industrial kind of fan!! The first thing that I approached to was the fan! It was turned on to full blast!!! Yup!! The speed was so strong untill I could feel my eyelashes are crying for help!! Hahah!!! But I enjoyed the cool air!!! hahaha!!!! The performance was a blast! I had fun watching my juniours play!! I am proud of them!

After that, I headed back home feelin all sticky and wet with my sweat! I took a long shower. Thought that I could cool off. But boy I was wrong. I immediately could see small droplets of sweat excreting my body! ARGh!!! So, I had to stick to the fan where ever I go. Also, as I am sweating all over, I feel very thirsty! I drank practically, 500 ml of H2O, 500 ml of iced tea and right now, I am having 1 litre of ice water!!! Damm....!!!! Yet I am feelin very very very thirsty!!!!! OH MY GOD!!! That's WAAAAYYYYY!!!!! ToO much water in my body. I thought it should cool my body a bit. But it's not doing any good. I am burping non-stop!!! Arhg!!!!!! HELP!!!!!

By the way, my song choice to chill in a sticky day is "I Love The Way You Love Me" by Boyzone. I know, it doesn't make any sense. But hey! I like it OK!! Hope you'll enjoy!! hahaha!!! Here are some of the lyrics. Enjoy!!!

I like the feel your name on my lips
And I like the sound of your sweet gentle kiss
The way that your fingers run through my hair
And how your scent lingers even when you're not there

And I like the way your eyes dance when you laugh
And how you enjoy your two hour bath
And how you convinced me to dance in the rain
And everyone watching like we were insane

But I love the way you love me
Oh baby
Strong and wild, slow and easy
Heart and soul so completely
I love the way you love me

Late afternoon at 5pm:
- TV (Ellen Degeneres Show and Oprah)
- Shower again

Night at 8pm:
- Rot

- Computer and Rot
- Rot
- If got any good shows, Watch TV

Late night at 11pm:

- Listen to the radio
- Rot to sleep!!!

See?! How my life 'Rawks' during the holidays?! Cool right?! I am decaying soon!!! I can see my skin is peelin off!! The flesh is showing. My eyeballs are protruding out and my hair is collecting fleas!!! LOL!!! See how my life totally 'RAWKS'!!!!!!! All because of the Holidays!!!

Start of the Holidays!!!!

Orientation Camp was over on Saturday. I do not wish to further elaborate on it as I don't feel good just talking about it. But I have this to say, Tiring. No further discussion on it.

Yesterday, I set a world record. I was so bloody damn tired after camp. Guess what? After the camp, I went to my teacher's mother's house for her niece 'Henna nite', TURKISH style. I didn't get some sleep. I went there at 7:30pm. I was overwhelmed by the people who came, the food and the Turkish guys who did the barbeque of the 'Satay'!! Ooohhh...!!! Sweet!

I was given the opportunity to try Turkish Food, and I didn't waste any time at all. I tried every single food that was served! First, I tried the Dessert. That includes,
  • Brownie (It's not Turkish at all, but heck! It tasted so bloody damn nice la!)
  • Apple Strudel Turkish style ( It's FULL of Spices!!!!)
  • Pudding (Made from Rice Flour and Semolina with some nuts. It's sweet! Not too heavy or creamy)
After that, I indulged in the main course. That includes the Bread (Pita Bread) with all the dippings in the whole of TURKEY found. Only thing, I could only remember one of the dip, which is called Hommus. It's nutty and soury and it's an appetite opener. The hot n spicy one, the very creamy dip and many many more!!! I had a fun time eating them!!!! WOW!!!

Then, what is a good way to work all that food out? BELLY DANCING!!!! Yeah!!! DaNCING!!!! My teacher invited ALL to dance!!! It's no ordinary dance, it's all Arabic Songs!!! My teacher and her family were belly dancing like nobody business!!!! All her relatives were there!!! One thing about Turkish Family is that they have THE NICEST COMPLEXION AROUND!!! THEY ALL HAVE WHITE COMPLEXION!!! SMOOTH LIKE A BABY'S BUTT!!! NO KIDDING ABOUT IT!!! THEY ALL ARE VERY VERY VERY BEAUTIFUL!!!!! THIER EYES ARE BLUE AND GREEN!!!! WOW!!! I AM AMAZED!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't waste anymore time. I dance the whole night through!!!!! There were other performances by my teachers' family for the bride-to-be. Then, there was this last performance that EVERYONE waited for. It's a dance by one of the younger cousins by the name of Aliyah. She is the most preetiest girl ever seen!! She's everyone's favourite!! She dance a number and it ROCKED!!!!! She is so talented in belly dancing!!!! There's one part of the dance where her butt Vibrated!!! WOOHHOO!!!! NOw, I don't mean to be all Horny and disgusting. But it's true. She is so talented up to the point where she could do that!! It was a great experience to see how Turkish people celebrate weddings and dancing!!!

I don't mean to disgust people, but if you were really there, you would agree with me. It was exhilarating!!!!! Too bad, Guys are NOT ALLOWED!!! HAHAhah!!!! It's ALL WOMEN dance!!!!
