2 Down
28 To Go.

Today’s break fast meal was a simple one – Tuna sandwiches and cup noodles. Since it was just the 2 of us (Mom and I) so, we kept things simple. Surprisingly it was very filling! Haha! Thankful.

As usual, my day went per normal, nothing fancy.

On the bright side, I was glad to go back to my sec school for Angklung. It felt so GOOD! After so LONG! When I arrived, my conductor told me “Rina! Take the Melody!” I was nervous as it’s been a while since I’ve touched the instruments. Plus, they were playing Quizas Quizas Quizas. I’ve wanted to learn that song but I can tell you, it was tough. I was stressed up a bit. But I managed and it felt good! I love the interlude part. I had so much energy when playing. Looking at the Juniors, they were exhausted! They got no drive during CCA. I was kind of angry at them for not even having the slightest enthusiasm! Okay, I know that they have been in school since morning, plus the weather wasn’t helping as it was gloomy. Fine, point taken. But all I have to say is that, they should have at least some life when coming for CCA. I’m not asking for Energetic beyond ballistic enthusiasm. All I’m asking is just some kind of motivation on their faces. When I looked at them, I felt I like taking my mallet and whack each and every one of them. But then they will hate me. So, all I did was to make silly jokes and made a fool out of myself. That perked them up somehow. I was glad though. Towards the end of practice then I felt that they were actually played well. Brava! Thank you Juniors! Keep up the good work.

Got back my exam results. It was VERY BAD. Nothing to feel proud of. I shall not dwell upon it for long. It’s deteriorating my spirit. Got to move on and take this as a lesson learnt – Got to be more hardworking next time.

Have a nice day!

Well Hello! Hello!! I have and announcement to make. It is now official that the start of the FASTING Month is on Thursday. Yes! Excited as I am, I hope that I will do a good job this year. Keeping my fingers crossed. Haha!

I discovered a very peculiar behaviour of my dad today. Well, after I had my dinner, I thought of indulging to Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough Ice Cream. (I’ve been eyeing for it for so long now). So I shared it with my parents. But once my dad tasted it, he kept eating it non-stop. Then I got a call from Kelly and we chatted for a while. After the conversation, I found out that the ice cream was half-full! I felt a tinge of anger as I only had a few spoonfuls myself. Apparently someone enjoyed the ice cream! Then, I came up with an excuse that the ice cream’s melting and thinking to put it back in the freezer. My dad murmured something with spoonful of ice cream in his mouth, “Might as well we finished it.” (Yeah, you are going to finish it for me aren’t you?) I thought. Luckily, my mom protested “Oi! The ice cream is expensive you know!” Finally, my dad gave it back like a surrendered soldier. Haha! Of course my mood was dampened when I saw the amount left in the carton. Haha! (So much for indulging the ice cream huh?) Right.

I am proud to say that I’ve finished reading all my 3 books! Haha!! Yes! Btw Kelly: I’m not setting up a Book Club here! Haha!! I’m happy to share my accomplishments to whoever’s out there. Haha! I’ve nothing to boast about here. The 3rd book is about how 3 friends started to get pregnant and all their dilemmas in their relationships together with very vivid descriptions written by the author about pregnancy. Haha! It’s good.

Question: Is it just me or the time’s been passing slowly?

Hmm… I dunno. Maybe I’ve been doing nothing productive lately. Just lazing around at home. Reading. Hah!

Speaking of reading, I’m done with my 2 books and starting on my third tomorrow. Surprising huh? Haha! Bet you’re thinking that’s impossible. Me either! Haha! The stories were rather interesting actually. One book is about how boy was abused badly by an alcoholic and chain smoker mother. Does that ring a bell? The child called IT? Yeah. But this book was written by his younger brother-Richard B. Pelzer. It’s a great book. It got me scared a little and sad for him. But it’s a good read. Next book it’s about this journalist disguised as another person in search for a life coach to change her life. Never did she know that her disguise was discovered by the life coach himself and then, things started to change for both him and her. It’s a very witty book with details that make you crave for more! LOL! Nice book to read. It’s rather confusing at first as the author was writing for many different characters using first person account. But I got the hang of it.

Okay. Enough about my reviews. I’m sounding more like a book critic. Haha! – WELCOME TO RINA’S BOOK CLUB! Hahah!!! Dream on….!!!

Anyway, I’m really excited to go out on Wednesday as finally the 4 of us unite as one! (Sound so Super heroic) Haha!! Kelly, Trish, Durga and I are going out! Durga used to complain that whenever she’s out with Trish and I, Kelly’s not and vice versa. So, now, both of them will make it! Good.

Fasting month is just weeks away and I’m excited. I’m excited as I’ll be baking cookies. Last year, my mom tried baking the Suji (Semolina cookies). After taking out from the oven, a handful of them were burnt. She gave up and waited for me to come back from school and finish from where she left off. When it’s done baking, she said “See! I know you’d do a better job! None were burnt! I can’t take this anymore.” She gave up and claimed that it’s “Leceh lah!” (Troublesome). So, it’s all up to me this year then! I can’t blame her for that. But when you talk about Hari Raya dishes, she’s the MASTER! No contender can match up to her. Haha!

Gosh! It’s not the fasting month yet and here I am talking about Hari Raya already! Shame on me! LOL!

Alrighty then! Enough for today. Shall update more soon! Ta! Ta!

Happy Teachers’ Day!

I didn’t have time to visit any of my teachers this year. I’m such a bad person when comes to special days like teaches’ day and birthdays. Haha! Forgive me for my blunt character.

But that does not mean that I don’t appreciate the teachers. I do appreciate them, but I’m not good at expressing my appreciation to them. Here’s a short message to all teachers that had taught me way back in primary school.

Dear Teachers
Thank you for all the knowledge that you have taught me. Although I wasn’t a good student that did well in my academics, nor have I behaved well in class. But I do appreciate your effort in ensuring that I do well and proceed on to the next level of education. Thank you and you will not be forgotten. =) Haha!!

I went to the library today to borrow some books and to my surprise the environment there was C-R-A-Z-Y!! Children were running everywhere, screaming and crying in the Adult section. Hmm…Guess the children can’t wait to grow up! Or perhaps the books in the children section were too ‘kiddy’ to their liking? Hah! Maybe. Hehe! Ah well they’re children, God’s gift to every parents.

Speaking of library, you might remember me saying that I’m not the reading type. But now, I guess I have to start reading as my English is weak. I write simple English – that was what commented by my tutor. Hmm... isn’t it good to write simple English so that others can understand? How difficult kind of English you want me to write? Maybe like this?

“Oh Romeo! Romeo?! Where for art thou?”

“Lend me your ears” or even

“I would die a thousand deaths just to be with you”

Is that how it’s suppose to be? Hmm…I guess I have a long way to go. So worse come to worse, the remedy to better English is READING. Ugh.

I borrowed a couple of books today. Hope that I will be able to finish them before the due date. Hah! It will be a BIG accomplishment if I get to finish all the books. But come to think of it, that I’m a rather slow reader, a big possibility that I might not finish the whole lot! Hah! I’m goin nuts here! GOD!!

Hello everyone! Or perhaps it’s just me. Forgive me for the long absence due to the reason that I was having my exams. Yes. It wasn’t a pleasant period to talk about let alone think of it. SO, now it’s all OVER! Thankfully.

First up, I would like to THANK to ALL of my FRIENDS for their well wishes on my Birthday. I know I’m 18 days late in thanking everyone. SO THANK YOU again. I got my birthday cake a week later. I shall not be fussy about it. The cake was FANTASTIC!

On Thursday was my last paper. After which, Kelly, Trish and I went to watch Hairspray at The Cathay. The movie was great! The moment the movie started, the man who was sitting next to me changed seat somewhere in front. It was a great decision made by him as I felt a little restricted as I would make loads of noise/comments during the movie. Throughout the movie, the 3 of us made so much noise! The Ooooh!!!, Aahh!!! and OHMYGOD!s were all out! Haha! I really enjoyed the movie very much!

On Friday I got a new phone. Yes. Yes. You heard me right. A brand NEW phone. My dad paid for it of course. It’s a Birthday Gift from my family. Thank You! I really like my phone. Right now, no more “Rina, when are U gonna change your phone?” or “Rina change your damn phone lah!” No more! Haha!! Sorry Trish, and Kelly! Hehe!!

So, these are the happenings so far. More to come, I promise since I’m having my holidays now. Hurrah! Haha!!! Till then, have a nice weekend!
